Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain plant equipment including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and dozers using computerized test equipment and calibration devices. Dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery with hoists and hand tools while performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication. Examine parts for damage and excessive wear using micrometers or gauges, and schedule maintenance for industrial machines while keeping service records. Operate and inspect heavy equipment to diagnose defects, read technical drawings, and solve problems using analytical skills. Adhere to all safety protocols including lock-out-tag-out, confined space entry, and OSHA/MSHA requirements while working shifts as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Heavy Equipment Operator/ Mechanic experience: 2-3 years minimum
- High attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to lift/carry materials of 10-60 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces without limitations
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
