Floating Mechanic

Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain plant equipment including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and dozers by testing mechanical products, replacing damaged parts, and using computerized diagnostic tools. Dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery with hoists and hand tools while cleaning, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance. Examine components for wear using micrometers and gauges, then schedule service and maintain equipment records. Interpret technical drawings and manuals to solve problems and stay updated on new methodologies through training. Adhere to strict safety protocols for confined spaces, lock-out-tag-out, and heights while wearing required PPE. Work shifts as required across Brighton, Longmont, Greeley, and Littleton.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Heavy Equipment Operator/ Mechanic experience: 2-3 years minimum
- High attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to lift/carry materials of 10-60 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces without limitations
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
