Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain plant equipment including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and dozers using computerized test equipment and calibration devices. Dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery with hoists and hand tools while examining parts for damage and excessive wear using micrometers and gauges. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and scheduling service records, and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to solve problems. Adhere to all safety protocols including confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, and OSHA/MSHA requirements while wearing appropriate PPE. Work shifts as required to support operations in the Aggregate Division across Denver metro areas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Heavy Equipment Operator/ Mechanic experience: 2-3 years minimum
- High attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to lift/carry materials of 10-60 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces without limitations
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
- Ability to work shifts as required
