Job Summary
Conduct daily maintenance on turnover, renovation, and service request units across multiple California communities, performing internal and external repairs including drywall, painting, plumbing, appliance fixes, and HVAC systems. Operate machine tools like lathes and grinders to fabricate parts, and repair wooden structures such as cabinets and counters. Manage inventory, prepare paperwork, and maintain equipment storage facilities while participating in emergency and after-hours coverage as scheduled. Requires experience in trades including electrical, plumbing, and drywall, plus ability to read service orders and follow safety protocols. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in some or all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work
- Able to use required tools and machinery
- Professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors
- Knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements
- Knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work
- Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends
- High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
