Floating Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Floating Maintenance Technician performs interior and exterior maintenance across multiple Bell Partners properties within a designated market. Responsibilities include painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, replacing filters, working with trash compactor, plumbing, light bulb replacement, A/C maintenance, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repair. Maintain resident privacy, respond to repair requests, ensure safety, attend in-service training, work with vendors (landscaping, painting, asphalt), and uphold Bell Core Values. Requires customer-service focus, ability to travel between properties, and physical stamina to handle lifting and working with heavy equipment. Prior maintenance experience and HVAC/plumbing/electrical/basic carpentry/repair knowledge are preferred; HVAC/EPA/CPO certifications may be required depending on community.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High School degree or equivalent
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience preferred
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical repair
- HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications may be required in many communities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to walk, bend, climb, lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment
- Compliance with safety/OSHA requirements
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a similar facility preferred
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical repair
- HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications may be required in many communities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to travel between multiple properties within a designated market or region
