Job Summary
Lead and assist preschool classes for children ages 2 to 6 using diverse curricula including art and STEM. Support classroom operations by managing transitions, organizing materials, and ensuring a safe environment where children build confidence through structured play. Build trust with parents through daily updates and share successes and challenges of each child's day. Seamlessly adapt to support different classes based on evolving program needs and execute smooth hand-offs between activities. Maintain 100% compliance with certification requirements while working flexible schedules between 9-6pm. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in ECE or a related field (or currently enrolled in a program)
- A NYS Early Childhood Initial or Permanent Certification (B-2 or 1-6)
- be on an NYS-approved Study Plan (be studying toward a BA or MA with at least 90 ECE credits or an Associate's degree in ECE)
- 2+ years of lead teaching experience in Pre-K (2-4 year olds) or Kindergarten
