Job Summary
Floating Maintenance Lead responsible for overseeing and performing maintenance across multiple Valiant Residential communities in the San Antonio region. Duties include completing repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, glass, tile, locks, fixtures, blinds, garbage disposals), managing apartment make-readies and move-in/move-out inspections, conducting preventive maintenance on homes and grounds, maintaining pools and common areas, supervising onsite maintenance teams, mentoring staff, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors. Travel between communities, respond to resident service requests within 24 hours, ensure safety and quality standards, maintain accurate work-order records, participate in on-call rotations, and support property inspections. Requires High School diploma or equivalent, EPA refrigerant certification, basic tools, valid driver’s license, English proficiency (Bilingual a plus), and willingness to travel and work weekends. Based in San Antonio, TX with travel across the region.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or related trade with basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- EPA refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification required
- Must own a basic set of hand tools
- Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, reliable transportation, and good driving record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout the San Antonio region and other major metropolitan areas; including possible overnight stays
- Ability to work weekends and participate in emergency/on-call coverage as needed
