Job Summary
Floating General Manager responsible for operating assigned properties in the absence of a General Manager, with short-term assignments across the market including local marketing, staff training, and quality assurance. Duties include guest service leadership, driving sales through local marketing and calls, timely recruitment support, budgeting and cost/inventory control, life/safety and inspections follow-up, and coordination with Regional Operations Manager. Requires travel up to 90% of the time (overnight stays may be required), strong analytical and financial skills, staff development capability, and the ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of management experience, high school level education (diploma preferred), and proven front office knowledge across hotel operations.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Read, speak, write and understand English
- Sufficient mathematical skills to prepare forecasts and reports
- General computer proficiency
- Thorough knowledge of Front Office and related departments
- Ability to work long hours and travel 90% of the time
- Supervisory or management experience (minimum 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
