Job Summary
Floating Executive Director (FED) provides interim operational leadership across Allegro and Alto Communities, serving as a strategic resource during leadership transitions, occupancy initiatives, regulatory needs, or other business priorities. Responsibilities include ensuring continuity of operations, driving resident and associate satisfaction, improving occupancy and financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, mentoring Executive Directors and department leaders, supporting recruiting and onboarding, and collaborating with regional and corporate leadership to share best practices. The FED will travel extensively to support multiple communities, oversee budgeting and KPI tracking, partner with sales/marketing to drive census growth, and maintain alignment with company standards and policies while adapting to diverse community environments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years of Executive Director, Administrator, Regional, or multi-site leadership experience within senior living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or retirement community operations.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, improving operational performance, and achieving occupancy and financial goals.
- Strong knowledge of senior living regulations, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.
- Proven leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and build effective relationships with diverse teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight travel, based on business needs.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Current Assisted Living Administrator license where applicable
- Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN) a plus
- Previous multi-site, regional, turnaround, acquisition, or new community opening experience strongly preferred
- Proven sales and marketing experience with a demonstrated ability to drive occupancy growth
- Experience traveling extensively across portfolio and supporting acquisitions/transitions
