Job Summary
The Floating Culinary Support Specialist will assist with planning, organizing and providing residents with nutritious, well-plated meals across designated communities, preparing and serving three meals daily, and supporting dietary needs and special diets per physician orders. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation and HACCP-compliant practices, ensuring proper records and temperature logs, coordinating with dining and nursing staff, supervising staff as needed, and traveling to communities in need. Requires ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain), minimum 3 years in food preparation with menu variety and at least 1 year of supervisory experience, and culinary training or equivalent experience. Must be able to uphold safety standards, manage dietary requirements, and support cost-control measures. Required Qualifications
- ServSafe certification (current or able to obtain)
- Minimum 3-year job-related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and special diets
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- Culinary training or 1-3 years related experience or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Certification in food handling or safe-serve at least every five years
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
