Job Summary
Floating Child Care Teacher implements the HighScope curriculum to support children’s physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development while ensuring safety, health, and well-being. Builds warm, nurturing relationships, conducts observation and assessment to guide instructional decisions, communicates respectfully with families, and collaborates with colleagues within Wisconsin DCF/NAEYC-aligned standards. Requires ability to lift up to 30 pounds, engage in active supervision, maintain current CPR/First Aid certifications, complete background checks, and use classroom technology to document developmental progress; role duties emphasize safety, developmentally appropriate practice, confidentiality, and professional collaboration in an Early Childhood setting.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to supervise children by sight and sound to ensure safety
- use classroom technology to track developmental progress
- maintain confidentiality with families and colleagues
- leadership/participation in alignment with NAEYC standards
- registrations with The Registry (Wisconsin)
- DCF minimum education requirements and NAEYC/NAEYC accreditation considerations
- experience with HighScope or play-based curriculum preferred
- experience with Conscious Discipline preferred
- experience in a NAEYC accredited environment preferred
