Job Summary

Floater Teacher (Infant, Toddler, Preschool) at St. Paul’s Senior Services — provide daily care and supervision of children in aSan Diego classroom, implement childcare plans and activities, maintain safe, clean, and organized spaces, assist with toileting, meals, and hygiene, communicate with families and supervise staff. Responsibilities include preparing classroom lesson plans, maintaining developmental progress checklists, completing paperwork (notes, attendance, accident reports), attending staff and parent meetings, and ensuring equipment and supplies are safe. Requires a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with the appropriate age endorsement (or a CA state permit), a minimum of 18 years old with pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, and twelve post-secondary units in early childhood education (with at least three units in infant/toddler care), plus at least one year of work experience in a licensed day care program. Must be able to meet physical requirements and clear DOJ/FBI fingerprints and a drug screen. Required Qualifications

  • A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with the appropriate age level endorsement issued by the CDA National Credentialing Program or a Children's Center permit issued by the state of California Commission on Teacher Preparation and Licensing

  • Twelve (12) post secondary semester or equivalent quarter units in early childhood education completed at an accredited or approved college or university and for infant teachers, at least three (3) of the twelve units must be related to the care of infants and toddlers
