Job Summary
Production Supervisor for the Plastics Department responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and executing daily production schedules, assigning work, ensuring equipment operates to standard, conducting pre-shift meetings, training employees (including onboarding and materials/quality instruction), and mentoring staff. Oversees safety, reviews material requirements, enforces 5S and housekeeping, monitors attendance and timecards, and drives on-time delivery and continuous improvement through problem-solving and process optimization. Requires strong leadership, knowledge of ISO/SDS standards, quality practices, and ability to train and develop personnel; experience with injection molding and manufacturing environments is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred but not required
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years’ experience in injection molding with good plastic processing knowledge preferred
- previous supervision experience with good leadership and communication skills
- strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- read and understand written assembly instructions
- understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- ISO sections about the position
- good mechanical and hands-on skills
- good computer skills
