Job Summary
Implement individual clients' Active Treatment plans based on their Individual Plan-of-Care, providing daily supervision, guidance, and support to facilitate learning and development. Supervise self-administration of medication, restrict inappropriate behaviors, and train residents in personal habits, hygiene, and household maintenance activities. Provide individual and group counseling, supervise all activities and events, and assist in developing behavior management plans where applicable. Record accidents and incidents, inspect living areas for cleanliness, and provide necessary transportation. Work all shifts from 7a to 11p across Iberia, St Martin, St Landry, Lafayette, and Acadia parishes, including weekends, under the direction of the Program Director.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- At least 23 years of age
- Willingness to work all shifts with all clients when needed during the hours of 7a -11p including some weekends
- Ability to transport up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to participate in all training
- Must be able to work when assigned to work by the Program Director
- Must be able to follow the rules and regulations of LHRO
- Must be able to follow all directions, procedures, and guidelines for the provision of individual program of clients
- Must be able to be thoroughly familiar with all policies and procedures relative to the residents (discipline, medical emergencies, safety, runaway/elopements)
