Job Summary
Floater-Patient Coordinator in Raleigh Radiology facilities focuses on coordinating patient registration and serving as a liaison between patients, families, and staff. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, accurately scheduling appointments, collecting and entering demographic, clinical, billing, and insurance information, determining and accepting payments (co-pays/deductibles), explaining processes to patients, ensuring accurate account registration and final billing, answering and triaging incoming calls, and performing related duties as assigned. Requires High School graduate with at least 1 year in a healthcare environment and 6+ months of medical insurance/healthcare experience; valid driver’s license. Demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality, strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered service.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School graduate with 1-year experience in a healthcare environment, an associate degree a plus
- Experience: 6+ months of Medical Insurance experience, coverage, and payments
- 6 months of healthcare industry experience- hospital, doctor’s office, insurance provider
- Certification: None
- Licensure: Valid Driver's License
