Job Summary
Provide coverage for instructor absences and vacancies across Natomas and Sacramento City Unified (SCUSD) programs. Lead STEM activities including Coding, Robotics, and Digital Arts while teaching fundamentals from beginner to advanced levels. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and personal growth for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Assist with program inventory, preparation, and other operational tasks when not actively teaching. Serve as a substitute at various locations, requiring flexibility to travel between sites with reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in STEM
- Passion for working with youth
- Flexibility to travel between program locations
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license or State ID
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to undergo additional training as needed
- Ability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations
- Excellent classroom management
- Ability to connect with students from kindergarten to 8th grade
