Job Summary
Support classroom activities as directed by the teacher, assist with transitions, and maintain an organized learning environment that promotes healthy development for children ages birth to five. Protect the physical and mental health and safety of children at all times, ensuring no child is left unsupervised, while reporting any suspected or known child abuse and neglect immediately. Implement prescribed curricula in language, literacy, social and emotional development, math, science, and physical development, integrating child assessment data into individual and group planning. Communicate child observations to teachers, support screenings and evaluations of developmental progress, and facilitate parent engagement through conferences, home visits, and group activities. Maintain confidentiality in all operations and comply with positive adult-child interaction standards. Obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within six months of employment, with bilingual Spanish communication preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Previous early childcare experience
- Ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics
- Demonstrated ability to maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times
- Working knowledge of all Innovative Network of Knowledge policies and procedures
- Ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Authorization to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
