Job Summary
Full-Time Floater at Gastro Health supporting Medical Assistant, Front Desk, and Care Coordinator duties across gastroenterology clinic operations, including EMR (eCW), patient triage, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, payments, and front desk responsibilities. Daily tasks include scanning procedure reports, recalls, calculating procedure costs, entering data into EMR, ensuring referrals are current, obtaining authorizations, collecting co-payments and balances, and guiding patients with questions about balances. Requires HS diploma/GED and roughly 2 years of MA experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Works Monday–Friday with no weekends or evenings; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement, and additional voluntary programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years experience as a medical assistant or similar setting
- Medical terminology knowledge required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) (Preferred)
- eClinicalWorks (eCW): 1 year (Preferred)
- GI Experience desired
- AAMA certification preferred
