Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning of indoor work areas, hallways, waiting rooms, offices, and restrooms while disinfecting surfaces to promote health and safety. Sweep floors, vacuum carpets, clear entrance walkways, and maintain grounds and parking lots free of debris. Monitor supply levels, report maintenance needs such as water leaks, and inspect for animals, vermin, or insects. Wear required personal protective equipment and comply with OSHA regulations during all tasks. Work the 8:00 – 5:00 schedule, attend pre-service and in-service trainings, and participate in emergency drills as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of general custodian practices and floor care
- General understanding of safety procedures for working with dust, chemicals and other related hazards
- Must know proper lifting techniques
- Minimum of one year experience as a custodian
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to deliver excellent customer service, externally and internally
- Must be able to travel, if needed
- Must comply with OSHA regulations in wearing personal protective equipment (Nitrile latex gloves, mask, and/or gowns)
- Must comply with Work Practice Control in not eating, drinking, or applying makeup in Utility Rooms
