Job Summary
Supervise, guide, and support children in classrooms while implementing lesson plans consistent with the center's core curriculum. Promote student health, safety, and well-being through supervised recreation, snacks, and naps, while maintaining a sanitary and orderly learning environment. Assist classroom teachers with activity implementation, complete accurate daily student reports, and interface with parents in a professional manner. Participate in supervisory conferences and continuing education workshops as required by licensing regulations or funding sources. Ensure positive emotional climates through classroom management strategies. Provide coverage in different classrooms as needed and assist with data collection to identify administrative service trends.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least five hundred forty (540) hours of documented experience working with unrelated pre-school children
- Child CPR/First Aid certification
- At least 18 years of age
- A pre-employment health certification, including a documented, negative tuberculin test or normal chest x-ray
- A criminal background check
