Job Summary
Deliver personalized Float4Life instruction using evidence-based techniques to children, including those with special needs, while working actively in the water for up to five hours. Manage a caseload by scheduling services, tracking progress, documenting milestones, and collaborating with families to support water safety. Maintain a safe pool environment through basic upkeep, equipment checks, and strict adherence to privacy standards and confidentiality protocols. Utilize documentation systems to record client data and participate in continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification
- Experience working with young children, including those with special needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder)
- Ability to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds and safely move in a pool environment (kneeling, crouching, reaching)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting client progress and communicating with families
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
- Float4Life Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire)
- Previous aquatic instruction or therapy experience
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
