Job Summary
Coordinate patient care and physician access at high-acuity urgent care locations, serving as the liaison between patients, staff, and providers. Prioritize patient flow by implementing physician orders, collecting and labeling lab specimens, and administering injections according to protocol. Obtain vital signs, document all procedures accurately in the EHR, and manage appointment scheduling and referrals within the Practice Management System. Ensure proper patient identification, maintain emergency equipment logs, and facilitate transitions of care to hospitals or other urgent care units. Assist with supply ordering, adhere to universal safety precautions, and troubleshoot department-specific equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- New Jersey State Nursing License
- BLS certification
- 0 – 1 years experience
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills
- Physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items

- 2-4 years experience
- Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail)

- Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems
