Job Summary
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care across multiple Med-Surg units while assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care for each patient. Administer medications and perform clinical interventions per established protocols, serving as a patient advocate to ensure privacy, safety, and confidentiality. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes and educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Adapt quickly to various unit protocols and patient care priorities within a high-performing float pool environment. Work 12-hour rotating shifts with days or nights schedules, requiring a minimum of one year of recent acute care Med-Surg experience and an active Florida RN license.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license (must obtain FL license within 60 days of relocation)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Willingness to float between units and work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
- Must reside within a commutable distance (under 60 minutes) of the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Additional acute care or specialty float experience
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio effectively
