Job Summary
The Float Pool RN I provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process within assigned units. Responsibilities include coordinating care throughout the hospital, participating in patient education, and assisting in the activities of ancillary personnel. Candidates must be licensed as a registered nurse in California and have certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS. Additionally, the RN must float to at least three departments and complete necessary certifications within the 90-day provisional period.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice registered nursing in the State of California
- Current AHA BLS required upon hire
- ACLS, NRP and PALS certification as required by Department
- Must float to at least 3 departments
Desired Qualifications
- Previous clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred
- Successful completion of orientation and training to the point of competence
