Job Summary
Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients across diverse acute care units including ICU, Telemetry, ED, Behavioral Health, and PACU. Administer medications, manage specialized equipment like ventilators, perform wound care, and conduct comprehensive patient assessments. Coordinate care plans, educate patients and families, and accurately document all interventions in electronic medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to triage patients, manage emergencies, and ensure safe staffing throughout the facility. Work rotating shifts with weekend availability required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year experience in Float Pool unit of expertise applied for
- two (2) years preferred
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in area/specialty applied for

Desired Qualifications
- two (2) years preferred
- Stay up to date with the latest wound care research and clinical practice guidelines
- Attends and/or completes monthly, annual, and assigned training
- Attends weekly multidisciplinary meetings to update and individualize master treatment plan according to needs of the patient
- Demonstrates efforts to maintain and improve knowledge and skills through in-service and continuing education
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care outcomes
- Participates in monitoring patient outcomes (short term and/or long term) to evaluate effectiveness of care provided and to identify organizational performance improvement opportunities
- Participates in department performance improvement initiatives
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care outcomes
