Job Summary
Provide patient care across multiple units including Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, ICU, Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Oncology. Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Utilize the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to deliver consistent care aligned with state practice acts and hospital guidelines. Perform duties requiring lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and physical movement to support patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of bedside RN experience
- Current RN license in the state
- BLS through the American Heart Association
- Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred)
