Float Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information and collect payments, while entering patient data accurately and maintaining specimen logs. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis, and travel to various clinic sites within Austin, TX and surrounding areas up to 75 miles. Provide superior customer service and handle administrative duties as necessary. This role requires flexibility for rotating weekends, overtime, and working in a fast-paced environment. You will gain experience across diverse clinics and locations, supported by a quarterly incentive bonus program and mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Will cover sites in Austin, TX and surrounding areas (75+ miles)
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record
- Access to reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
- 2 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
- Current or prior LabCorp experience
