Float Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen logs. Enter patient data timely and process billing information and payments as required. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative and clerical duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with an every 4th Saturday rotation. Requires high school diploma, phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency, or six months of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record if applicable
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
