Job Summary
Conduct venipuncture and non-blood specimen collection for patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics while performing EKGs, vitals checks, and biometric screenings. Manage patient intake, same-day scheduling, and insurance verification alongside front-desk duties such as check-in/out and message answering. Process lab cases, monitor billing inquiries, and complete DOH reporting while maintaining office upkeep, restocking supplies, and ensuring the lobby meets brand standards. Collaborate with providers and the virtual medical team on clerical tasks, medical record reviews, and ad hoc requests using our technology suite. Support team development through huddles and problem-solving sessions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- Strong customer service skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be available for Monday-Friday shifts between 7:30am-7:00pm
- Must be based in the Rockefeller Center (12 W 48th St) office location in New York, NY
- Must be available to provide coverage to offices in the Columbus Circle, 56th & 3rd, and Bryant Park office locations as needed
- Must be able to perform venipuncture services
- Must be able to perform non-blood specimen collection
- Must be able to perform EKGs/ECGs
- Must be able to perform vitals
- Must be able to perform front of house duties including check in/check out, insurance verification, printing/paperwork tasks, prepping tests, and tasking to service level expectations
- Must be able to perform opening and closing duties/daily office upkeep including maintaining the look and feel of both patient and employee facing spaces, restocking supplies, and organization
- Must be able to master our technology suite including, but not limited to Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and our Electronic Medical Record System
