Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being delivered. Act as team leader to manage the scene and unit. Drive the ambulance for 911 responses while collaborating professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong local relations. Full-time position with shifts in Kansas City, KS, Pleasanton/Linn County, KS, and Cass County/Harrisonville, MO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications
- State Driver's License
- BLS
- ACLS
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
