Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced care. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being delivered. Act as team leader for scene and unit management as needed. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses and collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. This full-time role offers a salary of $57,200 to $69,212 annually and includes Kansas City, KS, Pleasanton/Linn County, KS, and Cass County/Harrisonville, MO shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Kansas and Missouri Paramedic certifications
- State Driver's License
- BLS
- ACLS
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
