Job Summary
Nursing Assistant assists in the treatment and care of the patient under the direction of a Staff RN. Provides personal care that includes bathing, feeding, skin and mouth care and changing bed lines. Collects, documents, and reports vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height and weight. Empties patient drainage containers and maintains accurate intake and output records. Assists with pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care including positioning, lifting and turning. Reports changes observed in condition or behavior of patient. Assists with treatment procedures. Maintains supplies and reports malfunctioning equipment. Remains compliant with HIPAA, maintains professionalism and ensures confidentiality of patient information.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- STNA preferred
- CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment
- Nursing assistant experience preferred
