Job Summary
Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, procedures, and patient care in an urgent care setting. Responsibilities include triaging patients, taking vitals, recording charts, blood draws/venipuncture, specimen collection, administering medications/immunizations under provider direction, setting up procedures, preparing treatment rooms, moving patients from waiting room to exam, and checking patients in/out including insurance verification and payments. Requires MA-related education or certification (RMA/CMA) or CNA with phlebotomy experience, or equivalent experience; BLS certification required. Full-time role with Benefits (PTO, health/dental/vision, 401(k)).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A only), Paramedic, Radiologic Technologist, or another relevant program; OR active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation; OR High School or GED AND 6 months of MA experience in a relevant environment; OR licensed CNA with phlebotomy experience, OR phlebotomy certification and 6 months verifiable phlebotomy experience; OR 1 year of verifiable experience in a role where phlebotomy is the primary function.
