Float Medical Assistant

Float Medical Assistant at Oak Street Health supports care teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, reviewing medications, assisting with vaccinations and procedures (e.g., ABI, spirometry, EKGs), performing waived lab testing, ordering supplies, ensuring clean and safe exam rooms, and providing telephonic support under RN direction. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient experience, infection control, quality checks, and care coordination, with opportunities to engage in diverse communities and languages where needed. Requires CPR and Medical Assistant certification/registration, 3+ years MA experience (geriatric experience preferred), EMR proficiency, strong communication, and a flexible, proactive attitude; bilingual abilities (Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by community) encouraged.
