Job Summary
Float Leader - West is a full-time leadership role across Kensington Senior Living communities, serving as acting Executive Director or Department Director during vacancies, transitions, or openings. Responsibilities include onboarding and training of new leaders, stabilizing communities during leadership changes, guiding team development, establishing community business goals, enforcing policies and regulatory compliance, coordinating cross-functional operations, managing budgets and finances, fostering partnerships with healthcare agencies, and ensuring high-quality resident-centered care. Requires state licensing as Assisted Living Administrator or Nursing Home Administrator, plus at least five years of leadership experience in high-acuity assisted living environments, strong communication and budgeting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years in leadership positions, preferably in high acuity assisted living communities
- State licensing as an Assisted Living Administrator or Nursing Home Administrator (as required)
- Knowledge of geriatric care practices, chronic disease management, and Resident-centered care models
- Must exhibit a strong positive attitude toward customer service and have a genuine interest in geriatric care and uphold the philosophy of the Community
- Ability to calculate figures related to budgetary items, staffing needs, and other financial metrics
- Must be able to communicate clearly with people of all ages and maintain an energetic and positive attitude
- Must be able to read and write English
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, Residents, families, and the public
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced care environment while maintaining standards of care and compliance
- Ability to work effectively within a team-based environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Planning, organizing, directing, and delegating work assignments
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the Community; lift/move up to 25-50 pounds occasionally
- Flexible hours including weekends, evenings, holidays, rotating shifts, and occasional overtime
