Job Summary
Receives and processes requests for medical record copies within required timeframes, prepares/scans/indexes/QA on patient documents entered into the electronic health record, analyzes records for deficiencies, locates legacy records, coordinates merges of medical records across systems and charts to ensure completeness and accuracy, and follows all policies. Travel between Sutter Davis and Sutter Psychiatry locations.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- 2 years recent relevant experience
- Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards
- Knowledge of California Medical Information Act (CMIA)
- Knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Conditions of Participation (COP)
- Knowledge of Title 22
- Knowledge of AAAHC (ASC)
- Knowledge of IMQ
- Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to release of information
- Ability to communicate ideas verbally and in writing
- Familiarity with HIM within the Revenue Cycle
- General knowledge of Document Imaging/Forms Management
