Job Summary
Fill in for Food Service Specialist absences across five therapeutic schools by entering weekly meal orders, managing inventory, and preparing, cooking, and distributing meals while maintaining strict temperature logs and sanitation standards. Verify delivery quantities, rotate stock, and ensure compliance with health and food safety regulations during daily operations. Maintain an orderly kitchen area, participate in health inspections, and learn to operate fire safety equipment. This 30-hour, benefit-eligible role requires an Ohio Food Protection Manager Certification and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ohio Food Protection Manager Certification
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Email, Word, Excel) or ability to learn the software quickly
- Ability to balance, bend, climb, crouch, kneel, reach, push, stoop, stand and sit
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 lbs
- Ability to operate a commercial oven for food preparation
