Job Summary

Lead nursing services in assigned skilled nursing facilities by supervising departments, implementing Benedictine policies, and ensuring quality standards. Manage staffing patterns based on acuity and census, negotiate payer service plans, and direct hiring and evaluations. Develop clinical staff programs, foster quality assurance performance improvement, and manage regulatory surveys and investigations. Serve as a liaison with regional leadership, payers, and community groups while promoting core values of hospitality, stewardship, respect, and justice. Requires current state RN licensure, BLS certification, and five years of clinical leadership experience. Extended travel and evening/weekend hours may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse in States served or assigned
  • BLS certified
  • Five (5) years of RN experience as a clinical leader or Director of Nursing in skilled nursing facility or housing/assisted living or in combination with similar background in Home Care, Hospice, and/or community-based services
  • Accepts assigned community, clinical leadership role or duties associated with assigned role
  • Must be available for extended travel
  • Must be available for additional hours of work on evenings and weekends outside of their normal schedule
  • Must be available to be temporarily assigned to any Benedictine community in the states that Benedictine serves
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
  • Must be able to effectively manage a survey, conduct investigations and fill all reports as required with regulators
  • Must be able to effectively implement and maintain policies and procedures to promote compliance with all current regulations and nursing standards
  • Must be able to effectively serve as a liaison with Benedictine regional leadership, community groups, payers, vendors, general public, and other health care providers including medical directors
  • Must be able to regularly provide progress updates, concerns and identified support needs to the Executive Director of the community in which they service, the Regional Clinical Services Team and the Vice Presidents of Clinical, Housing and Operations
  • Must be able to effectively promote the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company
