Job Summary
Provide patient care support by preparing patients and assisting clinicians in exam rooms; document and record patient examination, treatment, and test results in EMR; maintain safe and confidential handling of patient information; follow CDC infection control guidelines and proper PPE usage; adhere to HIPAA/OSHA policies; perform duties with strong customer service and multi-tasking in a 40-hour, day-shift schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with a hybrid work arrangement across Rockville and Silver Spring, MD; CMA certification and BLS required; familiarity with CPT/ICD coding and medical office software; contribute to a compassionate, mission-driven healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Medical Assistant training: sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, medical supplies & equipment
- Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT & ICD coding
- Ability to abide by HIPAA, OSHA, and Adventist HealthCare policies and procedures
