Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of GNC and Avionics engineers; oversee the complete lifecycle of flight systems from preliminary design to flight operations; manage flight system development schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure milestones; collaborate with cross-functional teams (structures, propulsion, software) to ensure system integration. Required experience includes a Bachelor's in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in aerospace, leadership experience, and strong GNC/Avionics knowledge; JS/SCI clearance (TS/SCI) or ability to obtain. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD, experience with reentry or hypersonic vehicle systems, and demonstrated management of complex aerospace projects. Relocation provided; travel up to 15%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role
- Strong understanding of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) and/or Avionics systems
- Ability to manage 6+ direct reports
