Job Summary
Flight Simulation Systems Integration and Test Engineer responsible for integrating, testing, and maintaining civil and military flight-simulation visual systems. Responsibilities include installation, alignment, tuning, and testing of multi-channel projection displays (collimated and direct projection optics) in both company facilities and at customer sites, plus preparing and publishing technical documentation to establish performance and maintenance standards. The role involves travel up to 70% (CONUS and OCONUS) and direct interaction with customers and government entities. Ideal candidates will have experience with modern fixed matrix projection technologies, projection optics principles, and 3-D visualization/calibration techniques; strong oral and written communication skills; and the ability to work in confined spaces and handle physical tasks (lifting up to 50lbs).
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Simulator System Engineer, Simulator Maintenance Technician, Visual Display System Integrator or related role
- Knowledge of the setup and calibration of multi-projection Visual Display Systems
- Ability to travel up to 70% both CONUS and OCONUS
- Candidate must be able to work in small, confined spaces
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps
- Ability to move objects up to 50lbs
- Microsoft Office365 full suite aptitude
- Ability to comply with U.S. export control laws (ITAR/EAR) and obtain government authorizations
