Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to accepting medical facilities. Complete electronic patient care records for dispatched flights and daily base checks including narcotic counts. Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences while documenting licensure, certifications, and continuing education in the Employee Education Manual. Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists, pilot assistance, and aircraft safety briefings. Comply with safety standards for self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
