Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility. Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight, maintain daily base checks including narcotic counts, and attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings. Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance activities as needed, while ensuring compliance with safety standards for self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment. Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences and document all licensure, certifications, and continuing education in the Employee Education Manual. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed by the Regional Director.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
