Job Summary

Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished, maintaining thorough documentation. Complete electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight and submit them within the specified timeframe. Perform daily base checks including narcotic counts, assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists, and conduct aircraft safety briefings. Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences while documenting licensure, certifications, and continuing education in the Employee Education Manual. Functions as a medical flight member, attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings to complete necessary documentation. Complies with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
  • Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • NRP certification
  • Trauma certification
  • Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire

Desired Qualifications

  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
