Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished, maintaining thorough documentation for each dispatched flight. Complete electronic patient care records and submit them within specified time frames. Perform daily base checks including narcotic counts, attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings, and assist with liftoff checklists and pilot support as needed. Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences while ensuring compliance with safety standards for self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed by the Regional Director.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
- NREMT-P certification (may be required in assigned area)
Desired Qualifications
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
