Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished, maintaining thorough documentation for each dispatched flight. Complete electronic patient care records, perform daily base checks including narcotic counts, and attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings. Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists, pilot assistance, and aircraft safety briefings while complying with safety standards. Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences and document licensure, certifications, and continuing education in the Employee Education Manual. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director. Requires three years of 911 or critical care experience, current EMT-P license, and FP-C certification within 24 months.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
- NREMT-P certification
- Live within 50 miles of Klamath Falls, OR
- Willingness to relocate
