Job Summary
Flight Paramedic works with the Flight Nurse to deliver advanced critical care to patients, performing procedures such as oral intubation, IV/IO access, and administration of medications, while ensuring accurate documentation and equipment readiness. The role requires five years of paramedic experience, a suite of certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS/NRP), a valid driving license for applicable states, FP-C within 1 year, and DOT Air Medical Curriculum within 6 months. The position includes relocation assistance up to $10,000 and involves varied shifts, in-flight patient care, equipment management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a nonprofit air ambulance setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years’ experience as a Paramedic
- Paramedic certification as appropriate to assigned location
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Driver’s license with at least three years of driving experience (Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Hawai'i, or Montana)
- FP-C exam within one year of hire; certification within two years of hire
- DOT Air Medical Curriculum within six months of hire date
- Weight restrictions up to 250 pounds
- Passport and/or Entry into Canada may be required
- Ability to work varied shifts and cover fixed wing call shifts
- Strong leadership and communication skills
