Flight Paramedic (Contract/Per Diem)

Job Summary
Review patient information, confirm transport readiness, and conduct equipment checks prior to departure. Provide direct in-flight patient care as clinical crew member of record, managing airway interventions, medication administration, and ventilator management while maintaining situational awareness of altitude effects. Complete comprehensive handoffs to receiving teams, restock medical bags, and participate in post-transport debriefings. Defers to the pilot-in-command on all flight safety matters. Maintain compliance with all regulatory and internal protocols throughout the contract or per diem assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Unrestricted paramedic license in the state of Ohio
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a critical care transport or busy 911 system
- FP-C (Flight Paramedic Certification) or CCP-C (Critical Care Paramedic Certification) required within 2 years of hire
- Current BLS and ACLS provider certification
- PALS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire per Medical Director direction
- Working knowledge of flight physiology, altitude-related patient considerations, and the physiologic stressors of the transport environment
- Ability to function independently in an austere, resource-limited environment with minimal direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Trauma course certification (ITLS or PHTLS)
- Prior fixed-wing or rotor-wing air transport experience
