Job Summary
Provide high-quality pre-hospital advanced life support from initial contact until patient transfer, including assessment, triage, treatment, and thorough documentation. Maintain aircraft cleanliness, manage onboard supplies, and conduct safety briefings while assisting the pilot with liftoff checklists and radio communications. Participate in pre-mission and mission debriefings, patient follow-up, and outreach activities. Maintain licensure, certifications, and competency through ongoing clinical experiences and educational programs. Work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation with 5% travel time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least three years' related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three (3) years' recent experience in a busy 911 system
- Registered EMT-P licensed in state(s) served
- National Certification
- Specialty certification: (FP-C or CCP-C)
- Current certifications in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR; ACLS; PALS or equivalent (AHA courses if state or county required)
- Advanced provider ITLS or PHTLS (if state or country required)
- Advance trauma course: one (of the following): TNCC, ATLS/ATCN, TNATC or CAMTS-approved advanced trauma course
- NRP certification
- NIMS Training IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat
- Weight not to exceed 225 pounds including empty flight suit and boots
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation
- Regular scheduled attendance
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred
- Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus
