Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to accepting medical facilities. Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight, maintain daily base checks including narcotic counts, and participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency. Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists, conduct aircraft safety briefings, and fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area. Comply with safety standards to assure the safety of self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
- NREMT-P certification in assigned area
Desired Qualifications
- Prior flight experience
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
